"The art of life is about
turning your life into a piece of art"
Biography
The road of learning that is precisely to make music is full of emotions and unique moments, and so has been my career as a cellist since I decided at the age of eight, after attending a classical music concert with my family in Madrid, my hometown, that I wanted to play the cello. And so the music has accompanied me at every moment of my life, serving as a source of strength and refuge for my professional and personal growth.
In 2013, after graduating at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, I moved to Germany to continue my studies at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, finishing my Master of Music in 2016.
I studied with renowned pedagoges such as Armin Fromm, Michal Dmochwski and Kazimierz Michalik and took part in various masterclasses, including those of Simon Veis, Gustav Rivinius, Philippe Muller, Wolfgang Boettcher, Young-Chang Cho, Wenn-Sinn Yang, Gergor Horsch and Tilmann Wick. In the season 2017/2018, I was an intern with the Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz, having built since 2007 my orchestra playing experience as a freelance musician in the Orquesta de la Communidad de Madrid, Philharmonie Südwestfalen, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen and the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker, and having played in many important concerthalls, such as the Düsseldorf Tonhalle, the Theatre du Chatelet, and the Teatro Degollado in Mexico, among others.
During my master studies I did further training in cello pedagogy, stage presence and mental training for musicians, and after my teaching experience at the Xiquitsi project in Maputo (Mozambique) in 2015 I started teaching cello regularly, as a teacher at the music school Musikschule dal Segno (2016-2020) and forming my own cello class (2016-2022) in Düsseldorf, Germany.
I am currently based in Madrid, where I am engaged as a freelance cellist and cello teacher, collaborating with different orchestras, with the violin and cello duo MOIRAS (www.moirasduo.com) of which I am a founding member together with Oleńka Cygan and teaching cello online in different countries and languages and in person in Madrid.

Classical music
for social integration
My experience at the Xiquitsi project (Maputo, Mozambique) in 2015 and at the Child's Play India Foundation project (Goa, India) in 2019, together with personal experiences and my studies in Human Rights, Democracy and Globalisation at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), have reaffirmed my belief in the power of music as a means to develop our intellect and our senses, enriching our existence. That is why being part of initiatives to empower children and women and to take action against all forms of discrimination for social change towards a fairer world and more welcoming societies is a fundamental part of my professional career.
